The controversy continues.....

It's time to talk about this play.
With just two weeks before the play kicks off at The Substation,
publicity sets in and people are starting to know this play.

But wait, this play is getting a kind of publicity which is not what we expected.
If you have read yesterday's TNP or Tamil Murasu,
you probably have seen the articles about this play.

Or rather, articles about the controversy of the the play.
There's something I don't understand.

We are living in a multi-racial community -
we live together.
"Keling Kia" is just a term to describe the Indians.
And I'm sure there are other terms to describe the Chinese, Malays, or even the Eurasians.

Ah, that one I know.
We call Eurasians "Ang Moh",
though they aren't literally red-haired.

What's more, it's a "Keling Kia" writing this, so-called racist to some, play!
So where's the controversy?
A "Keling Kia" writing a "Keling Kia" play for the "Keling Kias" and ended up being called a racist?

I'm talking about this here not just because I'm part of the play too.
It's because of how disappointed I am with the media.
I've seen enough dark side of the media and I think it's enough.
(Though it's never enough)

Where's the media ethics?
What's all the f*** we've learnt?

Life! today has an article about this too.
Go read it if you can.
Tell me how you feel and blah here.

And, with one more week of ITP,
I sure gonna miss the people there.
I wonder if it's because Manoj's there or time really flies.
Whichever so, I'm having a good time.

Enjoy the nice weekend - for I will too.
